Dental Decontamination Unit, St. John’s Hospital

Our team has undertaken a number of projects at St. John’s Hospital in Livingston, West Lothian. For this unit, we developed layout proposals and planned the works to ensure that the adjacent offices and pharmacy could remain operational, with provisions for dust & infection control and fire separation.

The existing hospital pharmacy block was fully stripped out, including walls, services and finishes and the waterproofing of the flat roof was replaced and new rooftop plant installed. The Dental Decontamination Unit was formed with new internal partitions, wall, floor and ceiling finishes, and the new services sterilisation equipment co-ordinated with the Mechanical & Electrial engineers & NHS specialists. New windows and signage were installed and external works, including a pathway, steps and a ramp were carried out.
