St. David’s House, Bathgate

Baxter Studio undertook the complete refurbishment of a 1980s office building including asbestos removal works and the upgrading of all interior services, finishes and fittings for West Lothian Council. We agreed the brief with the client, developed design proposals, obtained the Building Warrant and prepared construction drawings and furniture layout proposals. We were additionally able to assist the client in preparing the scope of work for the asbestos investigation and the subsequent removal works. Working with the engineers, we resolved the routing of the services on each floor and advised on repair works relating to the poor quality of the original construction. This project is typical of the type of renovation and fit-out projects that Baxter Studio has undertaken, working with the Building Services section of West Lothian Council. The project had a budget of £1,100,000.
